This white grape variety is an interspecific new variety between Bacchus x Seyval Blanc. Synonyms are Recele and VB 86-3. It contains genes from Vitis lincecumii, Vitis rupestris and Vitis vinifera. The hybrid was crossed by the Swiss private breeder and vineyard owner Valentin Blattner in Soyhières in the canton of Jura (Switzerland). The vine is resistant to powdery and downy mildew and is considered a PIWI variety. It produces white wines with low alcohol content and aromas of grapefruit, lime and cassis (blackcurrant). The variety is grown exclusively in the grower's vineyards. In 2016, one hectare of vineyard was designated (Kym Anderson statistics).
