The white grape variety is an interspecific new variety between Bacchus x Seyval Blanc. Synonyms are Recele and VB 86-3, genes of Vitis lincecumii, Vitis rupestris and Vitis vinifera are included. The crossing of the hybrids was done by the Swiss private breeder and vineyard owner Valentin Blattner in Soyhières in the canton of Jura(Switzerland). The vine is resistant to powdery and downy mildew and is considered a PIWI variety. It produces light white wines with aromas of grapefruit, lime and blackcurrant. The variety is grown exclusively in the breeder's vineyards on less than one hectare.
