Resch-Longus

The winery "Ing. Johannes Resch vulgo Longus" is located in the community of Wildbach-Deutschlandsberg in the Styrian wine-growing region of Western Styria (Austria). It was established in the course of the 1990s from a traditional farming business. Most of the vineyards were replanted between 1991 and 1993. The first vintage produced was in 1995. Today, the vineyards cover ten hectares in the three own vineyards Klunkeraberg, Kögerlberg and Wildbachberg, as well as part of the Burgegg vineyard, which is leased by the municipality of Deutschlandsberg. The Schilcherrebe Blauer Wildbacher clearly dominates with three quarters of the stock, the rest is planted with the varieties Klevner (Pinot Blanc) and Morillon. The Schilcher is produced in the varieties "Klassik" and under the three vineyard names Klunkeraberg, Kögerlberg and Wildbachberg. Specialities are the Schilcher products Styrian Junker, sparkling wine and Schilsecco (Frizzante), a white pressed Schilcher, as well as the "J.E.M.", named after the first letters of the three children Johanna, Elisabeth and Maximilian The winery is a member of the Schilcher-Schutzverein Weißes Pferd.
