The Winegrowers' Association was founded in 1995 in Eisenstadt(Burgenland, Austria) on the initiative of the winegrowing pioneer Anton Kollwentz (Großhöflein), who was also the first president. Since 2006, LRaD Paul Rittsteuer has been president of the association and also an associate member. The member wineries have dedicated themselves entirely to quality-oriented viticulture. The RWB stands for innovation and know-how transfer and represents not only a professional but also a marketing community. In addition to the quality of Burgenland wine, the focus is also on cultivating the Burgenland winegrowing tradition, preserving the importance of wine culture for social life and constantly improving the international reputation of wines from Burgenland. The aim is to constantly strengthen the status and reputation of the Burgenland wine region in national and international contexts of the wine industry and professional world.
Serious sources on the internet are rare - and Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one such source. When researching for my articles, I regularly consult the wein.plus encyclopaedia. There I get reliable and detailed information.
