The winery is located in the municipality of Schleich (Bernkastel area) in the German wine-growing region of Mosel. It is owned by Winfried and Sigrid Reh. The vineyards cover seven hectares of vines in the single vineyard sites Held (Pölich), Blattenberg and Zellerberg (Mehring). They are planted to 80% with Riesling, as well as smaller quantities of the Pinot Blanc, Ortega and Rivaner (Müller-Thurgau) varieties. The Blattenberg has one hectare of ungrafted Riesling vines that are over 100 years old. Fermentation takes place very slowly with pure yeasts with the aim of producing fruity wines. These are vinified 70% dry. In years with favourable weather conditions, noble sweet Trockenbeerenauslese and ice wines are also produced.

Serious sources on the internet are rare - and Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one such source. When researching for my articles, I regularly consult the wein.plus encyclopaedia. There I get reliable and detailed information.
