One of the ten cru sites in the French Beaujolais area, the last one not classified until 1988. The vineyards cover 750 hectares at an altitude of 300 to 500 metres above sea level. They are located in the two municipalities of Régnié-Durette and Lantignié, 30 km southwest of the town of Mâcon. The red wines are made from the Gamay variety. The smooth, casual wines develop after three to five years.

There is a vast number of sources on the web where one can acquire knowledge about wine. But none has the scope, timeliness and accuracy of the information in the encyclopaedia at wein.plus. I use it regularly and rely on it.
