The winery is located in the community of Ehrenhausen in the Austrian wine-growing region of Southern Styria. The traditional business has been in family ownership since 1830. Today it is managed in the sixth generation by Ing. Georg and Ingrid Regele, who are both trained as wine academics. Son Franz Regele is a founding member of "SIEME - die 7 Jungwinzer aus der Südsteiermark".

The vineyards comprise 18 hectares of vineyards in the Oberglanzberg, Sulztaler Sulz and Sulztaler Zoppelberg areas. They are 90% planted with the white wine varieties Sauvignon Blanc, Welschriesling, Gelber Muskateller, Traminer, Morillon(Chardonnay),Pinot Blanc, PinotGris, Riesling and Scheurebe, and 10% with the red wine varieties Zweigelt,Pinot Noir and Blauer Wildbacher. The vineyard is maintained by hand throughout.
