The red grape variety (also Refosco Gentile) belongs to the large Refosco name group. According to DNA analyses carried out in 2005, there is a parent-offspring relationship with the variety Refosco di Faedis. The variety is cultivated in northern Italy. However, no stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).
