Ready-to-Drink General term (RTD) for alcoholic, but also non-alcoholic beverages that are "ready to drink". Above all, it is used to describe so-called alcopops. From the French winery Château Capendu in the Corbières (Languedoc) area, wine is bottled in special wine glasses with this designation. The glasses are made of transparent, unbreakable PET plastic and have a volume of 187 millilitres (1.5 eighths). They are sealed with an aluminium foil that can be easily removed. The winery guarantees that the same wines are bottled in these glasses as in the 0.75 litre bottles. See also under wine containers.
