Raw wine

Designation for a wine after fermentation, which, however, has no significance in terms of wine law. It is used to describe untreated wine that has not yet undergone any changes, for example through filtration or other processes. Large companies sometimes use the term "raw goods" for untreated wine purchased in open containers (tankers). Raw sparkling wine has a similar meaning. See also a list of all processing steps under winemaking.
