Rachaputzer

Swabian dialect expression for a wine that tastes acid. This tastes so sharp that it "cleans the throat" (see also Lamberttraube with the synonym Rachenputzer). Other names for such or similar wines are listed under sour wine.

Serious sources on the internet are rare - and Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one such source. When researching for my articles, I regularly consult the wein.plus encyclopaedia. There I get reliable and detailed information.
