The white grape variety comes from Italy. Synonyms are Procanico dell Isola d'Elba and Procanico Portoferrairo. It is a small-berry and qualitatively more valuable variety of the Trebbiano Toscano variety (one of the Trebbiano variety group). It is grown in the Italian regions of Lazio, Tuscany and Umbria. There it is used in the DOC/DOCG wines Cerveteri, Colli Etruschi Viterbesi, Est! Est!! Est!!! di Montefiascone, Elba, Parrina and Orvieto. But the stocks are not registered separately.
