The white grape variety is a new variety between Boskokwi (Gordin) x Madeleine Royale, which was confirmed by DNA analyses carried out in 2013. However, this is based on only 20 DNA markers (see molecular genetics). Synonyms are Raisin Superbe, Ryazanskii Sevebryany, Supertraube. The cross was made by grower Christian Oberlin (1831-1915) in Colmar (Alsace, France). The Lafayette variety (of which there are no more accessions) is considered to be identical. The splendid grape was a crossing partner of the new varieties Muskát Moravský, Serena and Sibera. The vine is used for pressing and table grape No stock was recorded in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).
