Term (also pithy, powerful, opulent, robust, luscious) for the positive description of a wine in the context of a wine evaluation or wine talk. However, the term must be interpreted in context and can refer to many criteria such as alcohol content, aroma, colour, taste and acidity. However, it can also be used to describe the structure (the comprehensive overall picture) or the body (a part of the structure) of a wine. Full-bodied wines are generally rich in substance, voluminous and clearly pronounced, without necessarily achieving the massiveness of a full-bodied wine. Related terms are alcoholic, dense, rich in extract, fleshy, full-bodied, powerful, heavy and massive. Opposite or negative terms are emaciated, thin, bland and hollow.
