Old hollow or liquid measure (also pota, pote, pot), which was formerly also used for wine throughout Europe. However, the volumes were quite different: Belgium 1.37 litres, Denmark 0. 966 litres, France 1.86 litres, Mecklenburg 0.9 litres, Norway 0.966 litres, Portugal 8.27 litres and Switzerland 1.4 but also 1.5 and 2.9 litres.
