Plant de Séchex

The white grape variety comes from France. According to DNA analyses carried out in 2012, it is probably a natural cross between Gouais Blanc x Chasselas (which explains why Plant de Séchex was also used as a synonym for Gouais Blanc). However, this is based on only 20 DNA markers (see molecular genetics). Until then it had been considered identical to Chasselas. The two varieties Plant de Vincelles and Sainte Marie were created with the same parents. In 2016 no stocks were recorded (statistics Kym Anderson).
