Plans Robert

The red grape variety is identical to the French Gamay. The name is probably derived from the French "dérober" (to steal). It is cultivated under this name exclusively around the municipality of Cully in the Lavaux area of the canton of Vaud. The vine, which is threatened with extinction, was saved in 1966. In 2002, an association was founded to preserve it. Under the name Plant Robert, no stocks were declared in 2016 (Kym Anderson).
