Plachen

Situated in the municipality of Rust in Burgenland (Austria). The east-facing slope in the lime-free southern half of the Rust "Hotters" (local name for the community areas) consists of silicate weathered soils with higher proportions of clay and loam. Here the varieties Welschriesling, MuscatBlanc, Furmint, Blaufränkisch and Merlot. The Bachkönig, Hammer Markus and Triebaumer Günter wineries, for example, have shares in the vineyard.
