The winery is located in the municipality of Graach-Schäferei in the German Moselle wine-growing region. The family has been involved in winegrowing since the 17th century, and the winery itself has been in existence since 1968. Patrick Philipps took over the management of the winery with his wife Michaela in 1998. The winery was subsequently redesigned with large investments according to the most modern knowledge of cellar management. A guest house is attached. The vineyards cover 3.5 hectares in the top vineyards of Graach Domprobst and Himmelreich, as well as Bernkasteler Johannisbrünnchen (the shares in the Zeltingen vineyards Himmelreich and Sonnenuhr were given up). They are 100% planted with Riesling. About one third of the wines are dry, one third are semi-dry and "lieblich" 100% are vinified in stainless steel tanks. Around 50,000 bottles of wine are produced annually. Sparkling wines and bottle-fermented sparkling wines are also produced.
