single vineyard in the municipality of Randersacker (Maindreieck area) in the German wine-growing region of Franconia, which is one of the three best Franconian vineyards with the two sites Innere Leiste and Stein. It was mentioned as early as 1329 under the name "Pfulwen". This Old High German word for "pillow" refers to the unusual appearance of the vineyard, as it presents itself to the observer like a "plump, broad marriage bed pillow".

Pfülben - Randersacker in Franken

The south-south-west to south-facing vineyards, which slope steeply down to the bed of the River Main at an altitude of 170 to 260 metres above sea level with a gradient of 30 to 65%, cover 16 hectares of vines. These are located close to the riverbank and benefit from the light and heat reflection. The soils consist of deep, skeleton-rich, weathered shell limestone marl with clayey fine soil. Mainly Riesling and Silvaner are cultivated here, as well as Domina, Gewürztraminer and Müller-Thurgau. The wineries Arnold Wilhelm, Bürgerspital, Göbel Martin, Juliusspital, Reiss Christian, Schmitts Kinder, Trockene Schmitts, Staatlicher Hofkeller Würzburg and Weingut Am Stein, for example, have shares in the vineyards.
