The appellation Languedoc-Pézenas is located in the centre of the French wine region Languedoc. It was classified as AOC in 2006 and belongs to the second quality category "Grands Vins du Languedoc". The vineyards are situated up to 300 metres above sea level. They cover the 15 communes of Adissan, Aspiran, Caux, Fontès, Fouzilhon, Gabian, Lieuran-Cabrières, Montesquieu, Neffiès, Nizas, Paulhan, Péret, Pézenas, Roujan and Vailhan in the department of Hérault. The red wine is blended from at least 2 of the 3 main grape varieties Grenache Noir(Garnacha Tinta), Mourvèdre(Monastrell) and Syrah, as well as Carignan Noir(Mazuelo) and Cinsaut.
