Producers and Wine Reviews about the "P.D.O. Peza (O.P.A.P.) / Πεζά" Show in wein.plus:places

Appellation in the Iraklio district on the Greek island of Crete near the capital Heraklion. Peza is one of the four POP areas on the island; the POP areas of Archanes and Dafnes border it to the west. The vineyards must be located more than 300 metres above sea level. The deep-coloured red wine is blended from the autochthonous grape varieties Kotsifali (mostly 75%) and Mandilaria. The white wine is made purely from the Vilana grape variety. Both wines are vinified dry. Well-known producers are Creta Olympias Winery, Lyrarakis and Tsantali.
