The white grape variety is a new variety between Bicane x Muscat d'Hamburg according to DNA analyses carried out in 2013. In a document from 1925, the father variety was Muscat Madresfield Court(Black Morocco x Muscat d'Alexandrie). Synonyms are I.P. 54, Muscat Perlona and Pirovano 54. The cross was made in 1911 at the Research Centre in Rome by the breeder Alberto Piròvano (1884-1973). The late ripening vine has a weak muscat. The variety is used as a table grape. With the same parents, the new breeding Italia was created.
