Peacock wheel

A term used in the context of a wine evaluation or wine talk for a wine whose flavour is broad, multi-layered and increasingly opens up on the palate, similar to an upright peacock's wheel. This refers to a wine with a balanced and multi-layered structure, whose components are harmoniously integrated and continuously unfold in the mouth. The image is often used for complex, high-quality wines.
