The winegrowers' association was founded in 1994 by seven winegrowers from the municipality of Gols in the Burgenland winegrowing region of Neusiedlersee(Austria). The motto is "Rooted for generations - Connected since 1994." (see the lettering on the box). The main goal is to establish a Burgenland appellation with wines typical of the region. The name comes from a geographical point of view, because the area is part of the Pannonian Plain (the Roman name of the province was "Pannonia"). Every year, each Pannobile winery produces independently and from its own grapes a maximum of one red and one white wine cuvée Pannobile. Only grapes with high physiological ripeness from 100% indigenous grape varieties are used. Extreme yield reduction is taken into account. The wine is gently matured in wooden barrels.
