The white grape variety (breeding number Couderc 199-88) is an interspecific new variety between Vitis rupestris Scheele x Vitis vinifera. The hybrid was crossed in France in 1891 by the breeder Georges Couderc (1850-1928). In 2016 no stocks were recorded (statistics Kym Anderson).
