The white grape variety is a new breed between Mayorquin(Damaschino) x Pinot Noir. The crossing was made by Christian Oberlin (1831-1915). Three varieties were selected under the name Palestina I, Palestina II and Palestina III. Palestina I is an all-female grape variety which is used as a table grape. No stocks were reported under Palestina in 2016 (Kym Anderson). Palestina Bianca is a synonym for the variety Neheleschol
