Palestine

The white grape variety is a new cross between Mayorquin (Damaschino) x Pinot Noir. The cross was made by Christian Oberlin (1831-1915). Three varieties were selected under the names Palestina I, Palestina II and Palestina III. Palestina I is an all-female grape variety used as table grape. No stocks were reported under Palestina in 2016 (Kym Anderson). Palestina Bianca is a synonym for the variety Neheleschol.
