Pago Calzadilla

Special wine-growing area in the municipality of Huete in the province of Cuenca in the Spanish region of La Mancha (Castile-La Mancha). It has been classified in 2011 as the highest Spanish wine quality level Vino de Pago. The vineyards cover 260 hectares of vineyards between 900 and 1,000 metres above sea level. The four red wine varieties Tempranillo, Garnacha Tinta, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah are cultivated. The area is entirely owned by the Pago Calzadilla winery of the same name (Uribes family).
