Single location in the municipality of Kaub (Loreley area) in the German Mittelrhein
growing region. The name probably refers to a baking house. The vineyard, which faces south to southwest at an altitude of 80 to 180 metres above sea level with a slope gradient of 50 to 70%, comprises three hectares of vines on clay slate weathered soil with rocky outcrops in the subsoil. The foot of the slope is only 70 metres from the Rhine. The Riesling variety in particular is cultivated here. The Fetz Sonnenhang vineyard, for example, has a share in the site.
