The "Oswald vulgo Trapl" winery is located in the municipality of Lestein-St. Stefan in the Austrian wine-growing region of Western Styria. A wine tavern is attached. The house name "Trapl" was first mentioned in a document in 1572, and the winery has been owned by the Oswald family since 1765. The great-grandfather of the current owner, Eduard Oswald, graduated from the winegrowing college Silberberg in 1912. His nephew Fabian has been working at the winery since the 2015 vintage. The vineyards cover almost three hectares of vines in the Hochgrain, Lestein and Schlossweingarten vineyards. They are 90% planted with the Schilcher grape Blauer Wildbacher, as well as the white wine varieties Klevner (Pinot Blanc) and Rivaner (Müller-Thurgau).
