DOC area for white wines and red wines in the Italian region of Apulia. The zone covers the entire municipalities of Carovigno, Ostuni, San Michele Salentino and San Vito dei Normanni, as well as parts of the municipalities of Brindisi, Ceglie Messapico and Latiano in the province of Brindisi. The Bianco is blended from the varieties Impigno (50-85%), Francavidda (15-50%), and Bianco d'Alessano and/or Verdeca (maximum 10%). The red wine Ottavianello is produced from Ottavianello = Cinsaut (to 85%), as well as in any use or mixture of the autochthonous varieties Negroamaro, Malvasia Nera di Brindisi, Susumaniello and Notardomenico (in total maximum 15%).
