Osey

A fortified wine (also known as oseye or osaye) from Portugal, which was popular in England in the 14th and 15th centuries. The name is an English corruption of the place Azóia north-west of Lisbon, from where the wine probably originated. It can perhaps be described as the forerunner of port wine, which only became popular much later.
