DOC area (also Orvietano Rosso) for red wines in the Italian region of Umbria. The zone covers 20 hectares of vineyards in the municipalities of Allerona, Alviano, Baschi, Castel Giorgio, Castel Viscardo, Fabro, Ficulle, Guardea, Montecchio, Montegabbione, Monteleone d'Orvieto, Orvieto, Porano and San Venanzo in the province of Terni. If the grapes come from classified vineyards, Vigna followed by the vineyard name can be indicated on the label.
