Orpheus

The white grape variety is an interspecific new cross between (Vitis amurensis x Vitis vinifera) F2 x Irsai Olivér. The hybrid was crossed in 1965 in Hungary. It is grown in small quantities in the Etyek-Buda and Kunság areas. In 2016, two hectares of vineyard were designated (Kym Anderson statistics).
