Tokaj Oremus Szölöbirtok és Pincészet (Tokaj Oremus Winery) winery in the Tokaj-Hegyalja wine region of Hungary, with its headquarters and winery in the municipality of Tolcsva. It is owned by a European consortium in which the Spanish winery Vega Sicilia also participates. The vineyards cover over 60 hectares of vines in the four villages of Tarcal, Tokaj Máriássy, Sátoraljaújhely (Oremus site with 6 ha) and Tolcsva and are planted with 70% Furmint and 30% Hárslevelű. Aszú grapes are also purchased from small winegrowers. According to legend, the first Tokaj Aszú was produced by the court preacher Máté Szepsi-Laczkó (1576-1633) from the historic Oremus site in 1630. That is why the winery was named after him. The winery is a member of the "Tokaj Renaissance" association and produces all Tokaj wine types.
