The autochthonous red grape variety (also Orbeluri Odzhaleshi, Orbeluri Ojaleshi) comes from Georgia. Synonyms are Lechkhumis Ojalesi, Objalechi Orbelis, Odzhaleshi Orbelis, Orbelis Odzhamshi, Orbelis Ojaleshi and Orbelouri. It is grown mainly in the Racha-Lechchumi region, as well as in Azerbaijan and Russia. However, the vine should not be confused with the Ojaleshi (because of the synonym Orbeluri Ojaleshi).

There is a vast number of sources on the web where one can acquire knowledge about wine. But none has the scope, timeliness and accuracy of the information in the encyclopaedia at wein.plus. I use it regularly and rely on it.
