The white grape variety is a new cross between (Cinsaut x Csaba Gyöngye) x Cardinal. The parent variety mentioned in the breeding list could not be clearly identified in DNA analyses carried out in 2013. The cross was made in France in 1968 by the French ampelographer Paul Truel (1924-2014) at the Domaine de Vassal. It is mainly used as table grape. The variety is grown in Corsica and in the Languedoc-Roussillon region. In 2016, 32 hectares of vines were planted (Kym Anderson statistics).
