Omoio

The red grape variety comes from Cyprus. The name means "similar" and refers to the similarity with the variety Maratheftiko. The parentage (parenthood) is unknown. The endangered variety was rediscovered by the Cypriot oenologist Akis Zambartas. In 2016, no stock was recorded (statistics Kym Anderson).
