Single location in the municipality of Bernkastel-Kues (Bernkastel area) in the German Moselle growing region. The name refers to the exposed location on the famous Doctorberg; the meaning of "Badstube" is not known. The relatively small vineyard facing south, with a slope gradient of 45 to 60%, covers only 1.8 hectares of vineyard area. The soil consists of weathered, dark clay slate with a high proportion of fine soil and humus. This is where the Riesling is cultivated with its roots. The Bischöfliche Weingüter Trier, Dr. Pauly-Bergweiler and Wwe. Dr. H. Thanisch Erben Thanisch, for example, have a share in the vineyard.
