Olber

The white grape variety originates from France. Synonyms are Dure Feuille, Feuille Dure, Grosolber, Grüner Olber, Grüner Olwer, Hammelschwanz, Hartälber, Hartolber, Hartolwer, Oberländer Olber, Oberländer Olwer, Olber Blanc, Olwer, Weißer Olben and Weißer Olber. It is a very old grape variety; the parentage (parentage) is unknown. It used to be widespread in Alsace, but today the variety is threatened with extinction. No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson).
