The red grape variety (also Ceillade de Conzieu, Landot 2832) is an interspecific new variety between Seibel 11-803 (Rubilande) x Muscat d'Hamburg. It contains genes from Vitis aestivalis, Vitis cinerea, Vitis rupestris and Vitis vinifera. The hybrid was crossed in France by the private breeder Pierre Landot (1900-1942). No stock was reported in 20160 (Kym Anderson statistics).
The glossary is a monumental achievement and one of the most important contributions to wine knowledge. Of all the encyclopaedias I use on the subject of wine, it is by far the most important. That was the case ten years ago and it hasn't changed since.
