Oeillade Bouschet

This red grape variety is a new breed between Oeillade Noire x Petit Bouschet, with a total of three different specimens (1, 2, 4) The crossbreeding was done in France around 1850 by the breeder Henri Bouschet. It was one of the many Teinturier varieties (dyer's grapes), but has no longer any significance. In 2010, only one hectare of vineyard area was designated in the Département Hérault (Languedoc) (Kym Anderson).
