Oeillade Bouschet

The red grape variety is a new cross between Oeillade Noire x Petit Bouschet, whereby there are a total of three different specimens (1, 2, 4). The crossings were made in France around 1850 by the breeder Henri Bouschet. It was one of the many Teinturier varieties (dyer grapes), but is no longer important. In 2016, only 0.7 hectares of vines were still designated in the Hérault department (Languedoc) (Kym Anderson).
