Obrist

The company "Obrist SA" with its headquarters in the municipality of Vevey in the Swiss canton of Vaud was founded in 1854 by Emmanuel Obrist as a wine trading company. In 1896, his son Emile bought the Cure d'Attalens vineyard above Vevey, which dates back to the 12th century, and thus started his own production. In the course of time, the property was expanded with the purchase of numerous vineyards, such as Passage du Romain, Domaine du Manoir, Château de Chardonne, Château de Mont, Château de Perroy, Château de Vinzel and Clos du Rocher. The vineyards in Vaud and Valais cover a total of 65 hectares. In 1961, Obrist became part of the Schenk group, but continues to operate very independently.
