Oberrot

single vineyard in the municipality of Lengfurt (Maindreieck area) in the German wine-growing region of Franconia. The name refers to the transition from the upper Röt (Buntsandstein) to the lower Muschelkalk. The southwest-facing vineyard with a slope of 10 to 15% covers 2.3 hectares of vineyards on sandy, weathered red sandstone soil. Pinot Noir and St. Laurent are cultivated here. The Fürst Löwenstein and Weinhaus Frank wineries, for example, have shares in the site.
