The "Domaine Nussbaumer" in the community of Aesch in the Swiss canton Baselland is managed by Kurt Nussbaumer. The company's own vineyards cover five hectares of vineyard area, with a further five hectares leased. They are located in the municipalities of Aesch, Arlesheim and Flüh. The white varieties Chardonnay, Chasselas, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Gris, Räuschling and Riesling x Sylvaner (Müller-Thurgau), as well as the red varieties Blauburgunder and Garanoir are cultivated there. From the red varieties the "Cuvée Nussi" and a straw wine are pressed. The own production amounts to 70,000 bottles of wine per year, another 100,000 are produced in wage labour for other winegrowers of the region. Some wines are produced with reverse osmosis (see under osmosis), which is indicated on the label.
