The white grape variety originates from Italy(Sardinia). Synonyms are Nuragus Moscatello and Nuragus Rosso Rompizolla. The parentage is unknown. It should not be confused with the varieties Nuragus or Nuragus Arrubiu due to morphological or name similarities. The part of the name Moscadeddu (Moscatello) indicates a muscat flavour in the wines. No stock was reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).
