single vineyard in the municipality of Weischütz (Neuenburg Castle area) in the German wine-growing region of Saale-Unstrut. The south-west facing vineyards with slopes of 10 to 40% cover 54 hectares of vines on loam and clayey weathered soils on shell limestone with loess layers and in some areas deep loess loam, resulting in a heterogeneous soil structure with an overall medium to good water retention capacity. The varieties cultivated here are Pinot Blanc, Silvaner, Gutedel, Bacchus, Kerner, Traminer, Riesling, Pinot Noir and Dornfelder. The Lüttmer winery, for example, has shares in the site.
