The white grape variety is an interspecific new variety between Norton x Labrusca wild vine. Synonyms are White Norton and White Virginia Seedling. It contains genes from Vitis aestivalis, Vitis labrusca and Vitis vinifera. The crossing of the hybrids was done in the USA by the private breeder J. Balziger. It is grown for example in the state of Virginia. In 2016, however, no stocks were reported (statistics Kym Anderson).
For me, Lexicon from wein.plus is the most comprehensive and best source of information about wine currently available.
