The winery is located in the municipality of Traismauer in the Lower Austrian wine-growing region of Traisental. The deep wine cellar, which was already dug into the mountain at the time of the Turkish siege, has been in the family since 1855. Until the early 1970s, however, only a relatively small area of about one hectare was cultivated. A wine tavern is attached. Since 1997, the farm has been run by Josef Nolz Junior. The vineyards cover six hectares and are planted with the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Gelber Muskateller and Gewürztraminer, as well as Zweigelt. Quality criteria are reduced vine spacing, intensive foliage work, yield regulation by thinning out and optimal harvest time. The grapes are crushed and gently pressed, and the must is also degerminated to ensure controlled fermentation. The premium wines include various Grüner Veltliners and Rieslings Traisental DAC. Sparkling wines and noble brandies (marc, wine, fruit) are also produced. The winery is a member of the Traisentaler Weingärtner association.

Serious sources on the internet are rare - and Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one such source. When researching for my articles, I regularly consult the wein.plus encyclopaedia. There I get reliable and detailed information.
