Nobleman Christian

The winery is located in the municipality of Göttlesbrunn in the Lower Austrian wine region of Carnuntum. It has been in family ownership since 1659. A Heuriger is attached. Today, the traditional winery is managed by Christian and Brigitte Edelmann, who are supported by their parents Anton and Henriette. The vineyards cover nine hectares, 50% of which are planted with the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Welschriesling and Gelber Muskateller, and 50% with the red wine varieties Zweigelt, Blauburger, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The vineyard is cultivated in a natural, environmentally friendly way. The wines are mostly matured dry, depending on the type of wine, in steel tanks, large wooden barrels or barriques. The red wine is concentrated on the Zweigelt, which is matured in different variants. Among the premium wines are Grüner Veltliner Selection, Zweigelt Rubin Carnuntum and the red wine cuvée Edelmann (Zweigelt, Merlot), which is aged for 15 months in barriques. Around 30,000 bottles of wine are produced annually. Edelmann also produces fine spirits (marc, wine), red wine chocolate, red wine liqueur and jams and wine jelly. The winery is a member of the wine growers' association Die Rubin Carnuntum Weingüter.
