The term has two meanings:

Unit of measurement

Unit of measurement (normalised must scale) for the determined must weight or a quality classification in wine, used in Slovakia (Normalizovaný Muštomer) and in the Czech Republic (Normalizovaný Moštoměr). One degree NM corresponds to one kilogram of sugar per 100 litres of grape must. See also under refractometer.

Abbreviation for Négociant Manipulant; a particular form of champagne producer.
